Perennial, Achillea filipendulina, Common Names: Milfoil, Thousand Weed, Nose Bleed, Bloodwort, Staunchweed. The small mustard-yellow flowers are tightly compact forming a disc-shaped head usually affixed to a single stem. Flowers heads are flat and 2" to 6" across. Delicate feathery, fern like foliage, that has a herbal scent. Attract butterflies. Dried and cut flowers are used in arrangements. Very easy to grow. Propagate from seeds, by root division or from woody cuttings. Surface sow. Light is necessary for the seeds to germinate. Germinates in 20 - 45 days. Drought tolerant. Full sun to partial shade.
