Money Plant

Perennial, Lunaria biennis, Also called honesty flowers, silver dollar, satin flower, penny flower, Judas' penny, jade plant, friendship tree, lucky plant and moonwart. Plants bloom with clusters of fragrant lavender flowers and the seed pods look like silver dollars.   Has large, dark green, heart shaped leaves with pronounced serrated edges. The seed pods start out green and become silvery, and after they dry they become so transparent you can see the dried seeds inside. Sow the seeds in spring or fall. Scatter seeds and cover with 1/8" soil. The seeds should take about 14 days to germinate. Reseeds readily. Sun/partial shade. Seeds are on the right side of picture.
