Perennial / Biennial, Cheiranthus cheiri, Bushy plant with sweet fragrant, clustered, cross shaped flowers. Work well in beds and borders, as well as in pots, or the rock gardens. They make good cut flowers. Attracts butterflies. Closely related to the Siberian wallflower. Easy to grow and can be transplanted quite well. Sow seed directly outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. For earlier blossoms start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before setting out. Sow the seeds thinly and evenly, 1/4" deep. Do not cover the seeds and keep moist. Germinates in 14 to 28 days. Tolerates cold well. Full sun / Partial Shade.
