Annual Calendula officinalis,  Also known as "Pot Marigolds", Calendulas produce orange, yellow, and lemon colored flowers on long stems.  Flowers will bloom all the way until frost.  Calendula petals are used in soups, stews and salads.  Medicinal use: the petals and the leaves are made into a cream that can be used for cuts and wounds.  Fast growing and easy to germinate.  Sow seeds in the Spring after the last frost, cover lightly with 1/4" of soil.  Full sun.
